and graphics are created not simply to be transmitted by an artist from
one point to another but to spark a
multidirectional visual dialogue with participants.
Main purpose of my work is collaboration work participated by people.
My electronic quilt is completed by people's collaboration work. Quilting
is done in groups and is a social time for the women in the past.They
were then quilted together with elaborate designs resulting in a beautiful
pattern seen in texture and shadows.
My intention is to give each viewer an opportunity to create their own
pattern and combine all patterns into one quilt.
In the interactive multimedia installation, ELECTRONIC QUILT: quilt
symbolizes the value of life and the creation of collaboration. The
piece addresses the concept of the value of human life in a theoretical
manner using an experimental interactive image.
My electronic quilt reflects various forms of every kind of human life.
These consist of love, pain, conflict, desire etc.
Through the intergration of the element of life and user's participation,
these create one feature of life .
This visual life form assumes that images will be changed and transformed
throughout the process as much as life gets interrupted, complemented,
altered, and reconfigured in real life form.
